Capabilities
- Notes: Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) measures differences in fluorescence decay lifetimes. The Lambert Instruments LIFA frequency-domain FLIM system is attached to an inverted Carl Zeiss AxioImager microscope body and supports fixed-sample imaging in widefield mode. It is suitable for FRET imaging, where donor lifetime decreases upon FRET; CFP-YFP and GFP-DsRed pairs have been used successfully. Lifetime imaging performance is <100 ps resolution over an approximately 0.1 ns to 1 ms range. The system is capable of high-content imaging.
