Virtual Microscope

Planning model

Results are relative estimates from the recorded optical route and available spectra, not measured microscope performance. Confirm the selected hardware and acquisition settings with AIC Turku staff.

Microscope System

Select a system to load its physical light path configuration.

1. Fluorophore reference spectra

Use the local dye library and FPbase separately. The top chart focuses on excitation light reaching the sample; the lower chart focuses on emitted light that survives the collection path.

Loaded fluorophores

Loaded local dyes and FPbase proteins share the same downstream simulation.
  • No dyes loaded.
Excitation arriving at the sample
Absorption spectra are compared against the selected excitation light after excitation-side optics.

Emission and collection
Full fluorophore emission is shown alongside the part that survives the collection filters and detector window.

2. Optical path

Choose a recorded route, then select its available optics and light sources. Pipe colours show the modelled spectrum along the path.

3. Modelled collection by fluorophore

Each endpoint has a separate routed path, relative collection score and excitation-leakage estimate.

No simulation yet
Load a fluorophore, then configure excitation and detection to compare collection efficiency.
